This is when you can sit on Game of Thrones’ Iron Throne in Wales

The iconic Sky Atlantic series Game of Thrones is back in April and Welsh fans of the seven kingdoms can flex their inner Cersei pout or John Snow brood by sitting on the show's Iron Throne.

For the Iron Throne will be in Cardiff next month and considering it's been the thing that Game of Thrones' characters have been obsessing over for the past eight series, it's a pretty big deal.

When does Game of Thrones season 8 air in the UK?

Followers of the multi award-winning programme, based on George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series, will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be pictured on the show’s hotly-contested seat of power. They will follow in the bum-prints of Kings Robert and Joffrey (booo!) and Queen Cersei.

The Westerlands Kingdom - which is where the Lannisters are the overlords - version of the throne will be at St David's Shopping Centre on Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19 from 9.30am to 8pm.

Sky’s Director of Programmes Zai Bennett said: “With one of the greatest shows of television’s golden era coming to its end, we wanted to give fans something special to remember it by. The 7 Kingdoms Tour will do just that with fans getting the chance to experience what it feels like to sit on the Iron Throne before the eventual crowning moment at the end of the season.”
