This is when the stunning field of sunflowers will be returning to Gower this year

It was the go-to selfie spot last summer which had both tourists and locals flocking to it.

The sunflower field in Rhossili proved to be so popular that queues were formed just to get the perfect picture with Worm's Head in the background.

Around 400,000 of the towering yellow flowers were planted on the Vile walk by the National Trust in Gower , with many calling it the golden field.

A few months later, in October, the flowers were harvested and dried in barns before being turned into bird seed.

But with summer fast approaching once more, it won't be too much longer to wait to get a picturesque shot if you missed your chance last year.

When will the sunflowers be back?

The National Trust expects the sunflowers to be at their best in July and August.

Will they be in the same place?

They will still be located on the Vile walk, however, this year they will be in different fields to last year.

Will there be anything else to see?

Throughout spring, the National Trust will be planting 2,000 lavender plants which will be an ideal spot to sit, relax and take in the surrounding view.

If you want to see them, they will be flowering between May and September.

Throughout the spring and through to September, the hay meadows will also be full of colour with oxeye daisies, knapweed and yellow rattle all on display.
