This is when Nottingham Forest will find out their Carabao Cup opponents

Four-time League Cup winners Nottingham Forest will find out their first round opponents on Thursday evening.

The Reds made it through to round four last season before losing 3-2 to eventual semi-finalists Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium in a pulsating tie against Nigel Clough’s League One Brewers.

On the way to that defeat in Staffordshire, the Reds overcame Bury in round one before seeing off Newcastle United and Stoke City at the City Ground.

The Carabao Cup draw will take place at 7pm on Thursday and comes just hours after the Reds find out how their fixture list will look, with the Championship schedules set to be released at 9am.

Live from Morrisons in Colindale, the draw will take place within a short distance from Wembley Stadium – the home of the final.

Conducted by two former EFL Cup winners, supporters will be able to engage with the competition as they go about their daily routine. A true modern-day supermarket sweep.

Drawing the 70 balls from the hat will be John Barnes and Ray Parlour as they select the 35 fixtures for round one, which includes clubs from Carlisle all the way down to Plymouth and features EFL Cup debutants Salford City.

There will of course be no Notts County in this season's competition after their relegation to non-league.

Forest will be one of 70 clubs which feature in the round one draw which will see teams drawn in Northern and Southern sections, as in 2018.

Matches are scheduled to take place week commencing August 12.

Huddersfield Town will be included, while fellow Championship newcomers Cardiff City and Fulham join the competition in round two alongside the Premier League clubs that are not competing in Europe.

Last season, the draw was broadcast live on the internet from Vietnam - and this time, fans can watch the draw whilst doing their shopping in-store, or on the Carabao Cup Facebook page.
