This is when Newcastle United are likely to make moves in the transfer window

Newcastle United chief Steve Bruce admits there are targets that the club are considering to arrive this month in the transfer window.

The Magpies signed Miguel Almiron last season for £16milliion 12 months ago, and Bruce will have money to spend.

Newcastle must offload players first this month with Ki, Dwight Gayle and Henri Saivet potentially moving on this month.

When asked about the transfer window, Bruce said: "I don't think that's going to change because of the injuries.

"You have to look beyond them.

"We have a couple of plates spinning who would be of interest, but in my experience, the end of the window may be when things happen."

Ki has been linked with Celtic but there is a concern over whether the Scottish Premiership club can afford his wages.

Gayle is wanted by Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion but both sides would have to bid north of £15million to make the deal a reality - and match the striker's wage demands.

Bruce admitted after the Leicester game that Saivet is better to pursue a career elsewhere after failing to land a squad number.

He signed from Bordeaux three years ago but has barely featured.
