This is when Manchester City are expected to hold their victory parade

Manchester City are in talks with the council to hold a victory parade through the city centre next week, the M.E.N understands.

The team are expected to parade through Manchester to celebrate with fans and the most likely date is Monday 20 May - according to M.E.N. sources.

City players are set to fly back to Manchester to show the trophy to thousands of fans at the Ethiad later this evening

Last year thousands of fans turned the city centre sky blue as players took part in a open top bus parade to celebrate their league and cup success.

This year's celebrations have not yet been finalised but it is not expected to take place until after the team play Watford in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

As the Great Manchester Run will take over the city centre on Sunday the earliest a parade could take place would be Monday.

City had to win against Brighton to secure the title with just a point between them and Liverpool at the top of the league and they did so in emphatic fashion with a final score of four - one.
