This is when Lido Ponty is reopening for 2019

The National Lido of Wales Lido Ponty is all set to open for the 2019 season.

The outdoor swimming pool in Pontypridd is FREE of charge for children under 16 and costs just £2 for adults. The prices have been frozen from last year.

Based at Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, it has been closed since the end of last summer, apart from for the Boxing Day Swim which saw 700 swimmers brave the water in winter.

This is the fifth summer the lido has been open since reopening in 2015 after a £6.3m restoration.

It will initially be open for just two weeks during the school Easter Holidays.

When does Lido Ponty open?

It opens to the public on Saturday, April 13, until Sunday, April 28, with daily swim sessions available from 7.30am until 7.15pm.

It will then remain open for morning swims (7.30am to 9am) on weekdays between Monday 29 April until Friday 24 May, as well as opening on weekends and the Bank Holiday throughout May for normal swim and activity sessions.

It opens for its summer season seven-days-a-week (7.30am to 7.15pm) from Saturday, May 25, to Sunday, September 1. It will then be open at weekends until September 22, as well as open daily for morning sessions only from 7.30am until 9am.
