This is when Eat a Pitta in Bristol city centre will reopen

While Bristol city centre is home to plenty of fantastic lunch options, one of the most popular has been absent for the past month.

Eat a Pitta's Broadmead kiosk has been out of action since April 17, when it closed so a refurbishment could take place.

During the period of closure it has merged with the adjoining unit, which was previously vacant, which means when it reopens it will be double the size it was before.

Although there is another Eat a Pitta in St Nicholas Market, just a five-minute walk away, people will no doubt be looking forward to the grand reopening of its more central site.

Speaking before the closure, Eat a Pitta founder Dan Levy said the new-and-improved branch will include a walkway for customers which will "transform people to a different world".

"It's going to be absolutely awesome when it reopens," he said.

"We're making some structural changes to the two kiosks which is going to create an amazing look - we're going for a market feel.

"There's going to be a walkway within the kiosk which will transport people to a different world as they are served.

"There's also going to be some new additions to the menu including new salad options and fresh juices, like the ones we serve at our Queens Road restaurant."

When will it reopen?

Eat a Pitta's Broadmead restaurant will reopen on Wednesday, May 22.

On the relaunch day there will be 50 per cent off everything as well as a live band performing outside and free samples being handed out to passers-by.

All profits made on the day will go towards providing toys and games for children at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
