This is what the four Welsh regions' strongest teams look like for next season after transfer ins and outs

The four Welsh regions have now pretty much done their business and the squads are largely in place for next season.

We’ve seen Sam Davies decide over his future this week by joining the Dragons, while the Ospreys have made a very useful pick-up in Welsh-qualified Gloucester No 8 Gareth Evans .

There are still a few loose ends to tie up. We wait on definitive news about Wales skipper Alun Wyn Jones , who is out of contract after the World Cup, but it seems likely he will stay with the Ospreys.

Cardiff Blues are on the look out for a lock and a fly-half, while there might yet be one or two additions at the Scarlets and Dragons.

But the front-line players are all just about sorted.

So we can now put our thinking caps on and come up with the strongest teams each of our regions will be able to put on the pitch next season.

CARDIFF BLUES

It’s in the back three you’ll see the highest-profile changes at the Arms Park next term, with Wales duo Josh Adams and Hallam Amos coming on board.

Winning their battle to retain Nick Williams has been a big boost for the Blues, while the return to fitness of fellow back-rower Ellis Jenkins will be another.

Cardiff Blues: Hallam Amos; Owen Lane, Rey Lee Lo, Willis Halaholo, Josh Adams; Jarrod Evans, Tomos Williams; Rhys Gill, Kristian Dacey, Dmitri Arhip, Josh Turnbull, Seb Davies, Josh Navidi, Nick Williams, Ellis Jenkins.

DRAGONS

It’s been a long drawn-out process, but the Dragons finally got their man this week when they completed the signing of Sam Davies from the Ospreys.

New boss Dean Ryan, who you can read more about here , now has an international fly-half to pull the strings of an exciting young back division, while the breakaway unit is the big strength up front.

Dragons: Jordan Williams; Ashton Hewitt, Tyler Morgan, Adam Warren, Jared Rosser; Sam Davies, Rhodri Williams; Ryan Bevington, Elliot Dee, Leon Brown, Cory Hill, Matthew Screech, Aaron Wainwright, Ross Moriarty, Ollie Griffiths.

OSPREYS

Another region that succeeded in securing a Test fly-half after a protracted saga, with Wales No 10 Gareth Anscombe finally signing on the dotted line.

The dynamic Gareth Evans could prove a real asset at No 8, while retaining  Alun Wyn Jones would complete a pretty successful few months of business for the Liberty lads after all the turmoil of the spring.

Ospreys: Dan Evans; George North, Scott Williams, Owen Watkin, Luke Morgan; Gareth Anscombe, Aled Davies; Nicky Smith, Scott Otten, Tom Botha, Adam Beard, Alun Wyn Jones, Dan Lydiate, Gareth Evans, Justin Tipuric.

SCARLETS

Most of the changes down in west Wales are on the coaching front, with Brad Mooar, Glenn Delaney and Richard Whiffin coming in.

But there are high hopes for ex-Hurricanes second row Sam Lousi, while having Aaron Shingler back playing again would be a major plus.

Scarlets: Leigh Halfpenny; Johnny McNicholl, Jonathan Davies, Hadleigh Parkes, Steff Evans; Rhys Patchell, Gareth Davies; Rob Evans, Ken Owens, Samson Lee, Jake Ball, Sam Lousi, Aaron Shingler, Blade Thomson, James Davies.
