This is the Newcastle XI fans want to see at Aston Villa today

Newcastle United fans would make three big changes to the starting line up for today's Premier League game with Aston Villa.

Head coach Steve Bruce will be forced into at least one alteration to the side which lost 4-2 at West Ham in their opening fixture.

Jonjo Shelvey has been ruled out, with Joe Willock expected to be handed his second debut for the club following his permanent move from Arsenal earlier this month.

Not surprisingly, United fans have included him in their ideal line-up for today's game at Villa Park, alongside Isaac Hayden and Miguel Almiron in midfield.

Martin Dubravka and Karl Darlow's continued absence means Freddie Woodman gets the supporters' nod in goal, but there are two changes fans would like to see at the back.

Captain Jamaal Lascelles and Swiss international Fabian Schar both make the fans XI, having remained on the bench against West Ham due to fitness concerns. They replace Emil Krath and Ciaran Clark in the supporters' team.

Up front, United's dangermen of Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson are tipped to continue, with Jacob Murphy and Matt Ritchie in the wing-back roles.

The actual Newcastle side will be revealed at 2pm this afternoon ahead of today's 3pm kick-off.
