McDonald's may be on the cards again for Edinburgh residents, after the fast food giant announced that 15 stores will reopen across the UK.
In a statement on Friday afternoon, the chain revealed that the selected stores will reopen from 13 May, with the locations of those stores to be announced next week.
Earlier in the week it looked as if the restaurant would begin to serve customers again, after announcing they were undertaking 'operational tests' to ensure the safety of staff and customers whilst the coronavirus pandemic continues.
Other restaurants such as TGI Friday's, Burger King and KFC have already unveiled a similar plan, with a select few sites opening for deliveries around the country.
Paul Pomroy, McDonald’s chief executive officer for the UK and Ireland, said: “When we return it will be different as we all adjust to this new normal.
“I want to apologise in advance if our first wave of reopened restaurants does not serve your area.
“Rest assured, we are working hard to reopen more restaurants, but I am adamant this must be at the right pace with the wellbeing of our employees, suppliers and customers front of mind.
“Slowly, but safely, we will return to towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, and thank you for your continued support as we work through this crisis.”
Now McDonald's has confirmed what will be on its limited menu, but some of the chain's most iconic products are missing - leaving fans devastated, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Amongst the missing items are milkshakes, Chicken Legends, and most notably, Maccies breakfast.
"No double quarter pounder with cheese? This breaks my heart, @McDonaldsUK. Breaks it big time!" said one fan.
"No Milkshakes ?? The very foundation of what Croc built the business on - SHAKES!" exclaimed another upset shopper.
Somebody else added: "No mac muffin? that's all I wanted."
Looks like we'll be in for a wait if we want a Chicken Legend meal with a milkshake.
