This is the most wanted man in Oldham and Rochdale right now

This man is currently the most wanted person in Rochdale and Oldham - and police are determined to track him down.

Lee Fennessey is wanted in connection with a string of burglaries that have taken place across the two towns, as well as in Whitworth, in Rossendale.

Greater Manchester Police says the 44-year-old has been targeting elderly, vulnerable people.

Officers are calling for the public's help to try and find Fennessey, who police believe could be in Greater Manchester or Lancashire.

He has links to Rochdale, Oldham, north Manchester and Whitworth, the force says.

Anyone who sees Fennessey or has information about where he might be is urged to contact GMP as soon as possible.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a wanted man from Rochdale.

"Lee Fennessey is wanted in connection with a series of burglaries that have taken place across Rochdale, Whitworth and Oldham in September and October 2021.

"Fennessey is targeting elderly vulnerable people and is currently the most wanted offender in Rochdale and Oldham.

"Fennessey is known to have links to the Rochdale, Oldham and North Manchester areas of Greater Manchester and the Whitworth area of Lancashire.

"Anybody with information regarding the whereabouts of Fennessey is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4943 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
