Nothing quite beats the luxury comfort of a hotel bed, especially when you’re a fan of high-end hotel chains like the Marriott. These indulgent mattresses are crafted to ensure every guest checks-out feeling well-rested.
However, you don't have to leave good sleep on vacation, as the mattresses used in hotels are often available for sale. If the best rest of your life came in a Marriott Hotel, you're in luck — you can buy the very same bed to use in the comfort of your own home.
We've tested a variety of beds to find the best mattress for every sleep style and with a medium-firm feel, a foam top and a luxury quilted finish, we think the Marriott Innerspring Mattress will appeal to most sleepers.
However, the Marriott mattresses do come at a premium price and the perks are less than five-star, so we'll also share our favorite alternatives in the mattress sales below.
What mattress does the Marriott use?
The Marriott US
The Marriott hotel is unusual in that it offers two types of mattresses: an all-foam and an innerspring model. While we have tested some exceptional memory foam mattresses, it's rare to see this type of bed in a hotel room.
However, the Marriott Foam Mattress isn't your traditional all-foam bed. Standing 12 inches tall, the three-layer design uses gel-infused foam to create cooler comfort, with an Advanced Back Support Foam and overall medium-firm feel promising support for all sleep styles.
We expect good pressure relief to reduce aches and pains, while Marriott promises minimized motion transfer, allowing you to sleep soundly even if your partner tosses and turns. It's finished with a performance cover with water-resistant protection, to enhance durability.

The Marriott's innerspring mattress should deliver a bouncier, more traditional feel than its all-foam model. And at 13 inches, it's also a touch taller. Quilted upper layers of foam deliver pressure relief while Marriott describes its signature bed as "a personal investment in your comfort."
Available exclusively via Marriott hotels, a queen Marriott foam mattress has an MSRP of $1,995, as does the innerspring Marriott mattress in the same size. Both beds come with a 10-year manufacturer's warranty. Note that mattresses can't be returned or exchanged.
We have seen occasional sales at the Marriott Shop, with deals most common around the major holidays (such as Black Friday and Memorial Day.) Look out for 35% off, which reduces a queen Marriott mattress to $1,296.75.
The Marriott EU & UK
The mattresses used by the Marriott in the EU and Britain differ significantly from their US counterparts. This is slightly unusual for a hotel bed – the Westin hotel mattress has a similar build wherever in the world you sleep – but the EU bed should offer a similar level of comfort to the US bed.
Spend a night on a Marriott EU mattress and you'll be snuggling up on a hybrid of foams and springs.
Combining a base layer of springs with a top layer of foam (or high density polyester in the British model), the hybrid Marriott mattress is designed to suit a range of sleep styles and body types. The EU model measures 25cm tall (roughly 9.8”) while the British model is slightly taller, at 30cm (around 11.8”) — similar to the Sheraton hotel mattress.
Both models are finished with a Jacquard woven ticking polycotton, which provides an attractive finish to these luxury mattresses.

Exclusively available from the Marriott hotel shop, both the Marriott EU and Marriott British mattresses are premium beds with a double costing £1,435.50 in the UK — but stay alert for sales. However, they only come with a 5-year guarantee, which is surprisingly short for a premium bed.
Affordable alternatives to Marriott hotel beds
If you want to recreate the Marriott experience on a tighter budget and benefit from a proper trial period, we've rounded up three choices that come pretty close to replicating a night in your favorite hotel bed.
Other Marriott hotel sleep accessories you can buy
If you want the full Marriott sleep experience, you can purchase your entire bed set-up from the Marriott hotel shop.
The Marriott US mattresses (both foam and innerspring) are also sold with box springs, and you can bundle in your bedding if you want to enjoy every night between Marriott sheets. The box spring is only sold with the mattress, but you can purchase bedding separately.
The EU and British Marriott mattresses are also available with bed bases; some sizes automatically include two bases. Add sheets to your bed and base purchase, or buy sleep accessories separately at the Marriott UK shop.
Should you buy the Marriott hotel mattress?
Buy the Marriott hotel mattress if...
✅ You want to recreate a luxury hotel experience: The Marriott hotel mattress is a premium bed and if you want to turn your bedroom into a luxury suite, this is the mattress to get.
✅ You need a bed to accommodate various sleep needs: Marriott hotel mattresses are designed to provide excellent sleep for a wide range of guests, meaning they work for a variety of sleep styles. This is good for combi sleepers and couples with different preferences.
✅ You want an all-foam hotel bed: Most hotel mattresses are hybrid innersprings, so Marriott is the rare brand offering an all-foam alternative. Expect the same luxury indulgence you expect from a hotel but with more body contouring.
Other things to keep in mind
There are some downsides to the Marriott hotel mattresses, primarily, the extras. In the US, you’ll get a 10-year warranty, while shoppers in the UK and EU get just a 5-year warranty.
We would expect a longer warranty from such an expensive bed, although both the Four Seasons hotel mattress and the Ritz-Carlton mattress are more expensive with disappointing warranties.
In addition, neither Marriott bed comes with a mattress trial and you can't return or exchange it. (Perhaps Marriott expects you to book a night in a hotel if you want to try the bed.)
