Schoolgirl Lily Rose Morris died in hospital on Saturday evening after she was hit by a car when out with her best friend.
She was just 10 years old.
The heartbreaking image of the youngster is published here with her mother Mel's permission as she continues to battle with the grief of losing her daughter.
Lily Rose Morris had been out with her best friend in Sholver when a Land Rover hit them on Coleridge Road.
The youngster, who was described as 'happy, lively and bubbly' young girl, was rushed to hospital by medics with serious injuries on December 18.
But despite the best efforts of medics, she sadly died a short time later.
Yesterday, a fundraising page was set up to raise money to cover funeral costs , and has already amassed £5,000.
And local people from Sholver, many of whom saw the horrific incident and called emergency services for help, have been remembering Lily.
Many have placed flowers and cards by the roadside where she tragically lost her life.

"Goodnight and God bless Lily. Rest in peace little angel. We did all we could," one card reads.
Another writes: "Sleep tight little angel. Taken far too soon."
Neighbours yesterday recalled the moment they heard a loud crash late on Saturday afternoon before seeing the two youngsters needing urgent help.
The organiser of the fundraiser is Shane Yerrell, who is the founder of the Through The Fight Foundation an organisation supporting victims of violent crime and their families.
He has remained in touch with Lily's mum Mel to help raise money for her funeral.
He said: "What has happened to Lily is absolutely heart-breaking, and it hits even harder when you realise how easily this could have been avoided.
"It is always so awful when a child loses their life. It should never have come to this, especially so close to Christmas."

A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence but has since been released on bail pending further investigations.
