'This is the hardest thing we've had to write': Second school crash victim farewelled

Hundreds of mourners have paid their respects at the funeral of the second boy killed at last week's Banksia Road Primary School crash in Sydney.

Eight-year-old Andrew Encinas was killed when an SUV crashed through a classroom last Tuesday.

His sky blue casket was adorned with flowers and carried into Rookwood Crematorium.

Among those paying their respects were New South Wales Education Minister Rob Stokes and federal Labor frontbencher Tony Burke.

In a eulogy read on behalf of Andrew's parents, he was remembered as a funny, energetic child who loved animals and soccer.

"This is the hardest thing Mummy and Daddy have ever had to write," the eulogy read.

"You touched the lives of so many people.

"We love you forever … our hearts are breaking."

Many of the people attending the service wore soccer guernseys.

Several dozen blue balloons were released at the end of the service.
