This year's Santa Dash 2019 is finally here, this morning thousands of people will take to the streets of Liverpool dressed as Father Christmas.
The annual event, is arguably one of the most exciting running events in the city and sees runners, joggers, friends and families all join in the festive fun.
While the race is on going the city is turned into a sea of red and blue as harmless football rivalry is brought into play as fans can opt for their team's colours.
The course itself is 5k in length and will see those taking part make their way past some of the city's iconic streets including Mathew Street.
Below, we've provided details of the full route for today's
The route
The Liverpool Santa Dash course will start and finish in Liverpool city centre with a 5K route beginning at the Pier Head on Canada Boulevard in front of the Liver Buildings.
It will turn right onto The Strand and then turn into the Salhouse Dock and go around it and then it will turn left onto the Strand.
It will then turn right onto James Street and Lord Street and it will turn left onto North John Street and go past Mathew Street.
It will turn right onto Victoria Street and then left onto Sir Thomas Street.
It will turn right onto Dale Street and left at Hatton Garden and onto Vauxhall Road.
It will turn left onto Leeds Street and then left onto Old Hall Street and it will turn left onto Tithebarn Street.
It will turn right onto Moorfields and then right onto Dale Street.
The fun run will finish in front of the Town Hall.
