A menacing man who left a mum and her seven-year-old son terrified after he tried to get into their flat is being sought by police.
Judit Vanyo says the man is a stranger to her but began repeatedly banging on her door in the early hours of Monday morning.
The 29-year-old, who lives in Garston , said the man was screaming to her to 'open the door' and repeatedly hitting the door with his fists.
In a video the man, who is described as having white hair and being in his 50s, can be seen approaching the door.
He then takes his fist and hammers on the door with it seven times before he moves back and can be seen staring at the door.
The ECHO shared Judit's story on Tuesday but for legal reasons had to blur the face of the man. Today, after police confirmed they were actively hunting for him, we can show you exactly what he looks like.
A couple of seconds later he again approaches the door and with his fist bangs on the door another six times.
Judit, who is Hungarian, told the ECHO the incident left her frozen with fear and the man only left after she rang 999 .
Today Inspector Paul Holden said the mum did the right thing in not letting the man enter the property.
He added: “This victim, thankfully didn’t let the man in her house, but was quite rightly concerned for her and her seven year old son’s safety who
were both inside the property.
“She didn’t get a good view of the man but described him as having white hair and in his 50s.
"The victim was alerted when she heard banging and a man being verbally abusive at her front door.
"The victim quickly called the police, however the man made off from the scene."
Inspector Holden went on to urge any potential witnesses to come forward to help them investigate the incident.
Judit said she had never seen the man, who was dressed in a black t-shirt with red writing on, before and at first thought he had the wrong place.
However she said despite her telling him she didn't know him he continued to repeatedly bang on her door, which woke up her young son.
She added: "The first time he came he started to hit the door and I woke up immediately and went to the door and asked who he is.
"I had never seen him before so I thought he might be in the wrong place and was looking for somebody else.
"He repeated it a few times and when he saw that I would not open it he started screaming at me.
"He called me a cheeky b**** and a few things more things but I didn't understand what he said because of my English."
Judit said the man left but then returned and began hitting the door again.
It was at that point that Judit said she began to trecord the video and rang the police - a conversation the man heard and then fled.
She said: "After maybe five minutes he came back and then I made the video because the first time I was so shocked and I could not think what to do.
"But the second time I made the video and called 999 fast because I wanted the police to listen what was happening.
"I think the man listened to my call because after a few minutes he left."
Judit said she was alone in the flat with her seven-year-old son as her partner was on holiday at the time.
She said her son was woken up by the incident, which happened at around 2am on Monday and she had to tell try and explain what was happening.
She added: "I was not sure how long the door could hold, but it did.
"I didn't have any kind of furniture that I could put behind it either because everything was too heavy to move or too light to hold it.
"Everybody woke up, my son and my neighbours but we weren't brave enough to go out.
"I won't lie to my son so I told him it is an evil man who wants to come in but the police will come too and catch him."

Since the incident Judit has shared the video of the man on her social media and also a picture of him in her block of flats to warn her neighbours.
She said: "Nothing has happened like this before and I have lived here two years.
"I am scared he will come back when he wants.
"We have safe houses here, with a camera on the walkway, gate with a code and the entrance door with a different code.
"But he could come in with luck or because he know the codes.
"i just wanted to warn people to always close their doors."
