This is the crack addict who mugged a pensioner twice in two weeks - he threatened to stab her and left her with a broken shoulder

This is the crack addict jailed for two 'abhorrent and shocking' muggings of a 76-year-old woman.

Lee Davenport robbed Anne Willis twice in a fortnight in the same spot in Stockport.

In the second attack, widowed Mrs Davenport broke her shoulder after falling to the floor when Davenport grabbed her bag.

She later had to be moved into a nursing home because she couldn't live independently.

Yesterday Davenport, of Mount Pleasant, Hazel Grove, was jailed for was jailed for seven years and two months after pleading guilty to two charges of robbery at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.

The 39-year-old, who has 35 previous convictions, was also ordered to pay £500 compensation.

A judge said: "These were shocking and deeply unpleasant offences."

After her ordeal, kindhearted neighbours and well-wishers helped raise more than £1,000 for Mrs Willis, which she said she planned on using to pay for a holiday in Wales with a friend.

In the first robbery on June 10 this year Davenport followed Mrs Willis after she left Sainsbury's in Hazel Grove before pouncing in a quiet area off the A6, near to both their homes.

He said 'give me your bag or I'll stab you' before stealing her bag, which contained a birthday card and present for her great-nephew, her shopping, her purse as well as a bank card with a note of its PIN number.

Shortly after Davenport withdrew £100 then a further £200.

Thirteen days later  Davenport pounced again in the same spot, grabbing her bag from her shoulder, causing her to fall to the floor.

Mrs Willis fell onto the curb, and suffered a broken shoulder.

Defending, Peter Malone said Davenport 'deeply regrets' his behaviour and is 'remorseful'.

He said that drugs have 'taken over' Davenport's life for a 'number of years', and that he has now had 'time to reflect' while drug free in prison.

Davenport, who used crack cocaine as well as other 'hard drugs' and was homeless for years, was offered support by Stockport charity The Wellspring but 'didn't take up' the help, Mr Malone said.

Speaking after setnecing Mrs Willis' niece Angela Butler said: "He (Davenport) is scum. He says he has got remorse. He has been trying to run the show from day one, but they saw right through him.

"How would he have felt if somebody had done that to his nana or Mum? I can't understand what goes through these peoples' minds.

"She can hopefully start living her life again now, not in fear."
