'This is the best' Good Morning Britain viewers have their say on Judge Robert Rinder's presenting debut

ITV's much-loved criminal barrister Robert Rinder has swapped the courtroom for the TV studio after making his debut as the newest presenter of Good Morning Britain.

Joining regular host Susanna Reid, 43-year old Robert, recognisable for his iconic courtroom reality series 'Judge Rinder', has begun the first of two initial stints as the main presenter of the show.

Susanna welcomed her co-presenter to viewers before Robert admitted to be "intimidated" by the pressures of hosting a BAFTA-award nominated television show.

Susanna then pointed out the fact that their guests must also be intimated about being grilled by a barrister who will take on the 'toughest of cases'.

Susanna and Robert are actually off-screen friends in real life, having previously filmed numerous episodes of Celebrity Gogglebox together.

Following the show, many viewers took to Twitter to discuss Rinder's performance.

@Princesskarlet wrote, "Omg this is the best. Can Judge Rinder come again. He would make a great permanent edition. I like his cross examination already!. Good luck Judge Rinder your doing great :) "

A number expressed their hopes Rinder would be taking Piers Morgan's former lead presenting position.

Morgan left the show in March this year following his controversial comments about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Earlier this week, Good Morning Britain's guest presenter was money-saving expert Martin Lewis, while the week before it was TV personality Richard Madeley, who will be returning the show following his stint on this year's ''m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.
