Benfica winger Jota is not a target for Nottingham Forest, NottinghamshireLive understands.
The 21 year-old has been heavily linked with a move the Reds this summer.
Jota, who has been on the books at Benfica since 2007, is reportedly nearing an exit from the Estadio da Luz.
It was reported yesterday in the Portuguese press that Jota has fallen down the pecking order at Benfica, with Jorge Jesus looking to offload players he believes are surplus to requirements at the club.
Forest were name-checked in the report by Portuguese national newspaper Abola, but NottinghamshireLive understands Sabri Lamouchi's side are not interested in the forward.
Lamouchi has already made three signings this summer, adding Jack Colback, Tyler Blackett and Lyle Taylor to the club's ranks.
Defender Mathieu Peybernes is the latest name linked with a move to the City Ground, the Almeria centre-back reportedly interesting Forest's Championship rivals Swansea City.
Jota has been mentioned as a transfer target for the Reds extensively this summer, the Portuguese Under-21 international first linked back in May.
