'This is not a drill' - Arsenal fans react as Kieran Tierey is set for Premier League debut

Unai Emery is handing Kieran Tierney his first start in the Premier League for Arsenal since the Scot's summer move from Celtic.

After three encouraging performances in the Europa League and Carabao Cup, Arsenal fans have been waiting for Tierney to make his league bow.

Signing for Arsenal on deadline day already injured, it was understood that Tierney would not return to first team action until October.

Elsewhere, Alexandre Lacazette is making his return to Premier League action after regaining match sharpness in the week. He is in a frontline that includes Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

In midfield, Emery has yet again opted against fielding Mesut Ozil as well as Lucas Torreira who starts on the bench.

Arsenal v Crystal Palace match preview

Joe Willock has dropped out of the squad as Dani Ceballos does come in, however, joining Matteo Guendouzi and captain Granit Xhaka.

With the Spaniard coming back into the starting line-up, Emery will hope he can supply the dangerous front three he finally has again.

The usual Premier League defence of Calum Chambers, Sokratis and David Luiz partners Tierney ahead of Bernd Leno.

With a dangerous Crystal Palace side set to take the Emirates pitch, fans a glad to see Tierney making his first league start for the Gunners.
