The singer from Barry was battling against Molly Hocking, Deana Walmsley and Jimmy Balito to be crowned champion.

Before her first song, the 29-year-old said: "Getting through to the final is something I did not expect.

"I was so shocked. I'm having to pinch myself."

In a clip, the singer made the journey home to Barry, where she said: "Going home really puts a fire in my belly, now I'm so ready for the final."

And after her first performance - Call Out My Name by The Weeknd - Sir Tom said: "Very proud," adding: "Barry Island - used to go there as a kid."

"It was great."

Fellow coach, Jennifer Hudson, added: "You blow me away each and every time."

She added: "You are a super star."

Bethzienna belted out Nina Simone's Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood with Sir Tom - sharing a stage for the second time.

And after her duet with the Welsh legend, she said: "Oh my God. It's amazing.

She added: "Ever since I was a little girl that's been my dream, to sing with you, Tom."

Final four

Up against Molly, Deanna and Jimmy, Bethzienna was part of the show's final.

She made it to the final four before Deanna and Molly went through to the last two to battle it off between each other.

After she was knocked out, along with Jimmy, Bethzienna said: "It's just been a crazy journey for me," adding: "You've just got to keep trying."

And as she was booted off the show, host Emma Willis hinted that Sir Tom might have let slip a naughty word - much to a confused look and Tom asking: "What did I say?"

The eventual winner was 18-year-old Molly.

Route to the final

Bethzienna made the final, taking an unconventional route. She was the lifeline winner, which was announced in last Saturday's show.

The vote opened the week before.

She started off the competition at the Blinds joining Jennifer's team. And while Tom didn't turn for her at first they had a lot of fun at the Blinds when he discovered she's from Wales and loving her song choice they ended up having a little duet on stage.

She sang Cry to Me by Solomon Burke for her Blind and then Tom performed it with her.

At the Battles Jennifer put Bethzienna up against Moya and the two sang Never Tear us Apart by INXS.

She lost the Battle and could have left there but then Sir Tom used his steal and brought her over to Team Tom.

In the Knockouts - Bethzienna sang River by Bishop Briggs.

Sir Tom put Deana and Cedric forward at this stage and Bethzienna was set to leave the competition (again) but the Lifeline was introduced - putting the 16 eliminated Knockouts contestants to a public vote whereby one would be saved and return to compete in the live semi-final.

And Bethzienna won; with Emma Willis turning up on her doorstep last Monday to surprise her with the news.

She rushed straight back for rehearsals and sang You Don't Own Me by Lesley Gore (Grace version) securing her place in the final after the public vote.
