Shoppers and people using public transport across the country will be forced to wear a face covering again from Tuesday as part of strict new guidance.
Police will be given the power to fine anyone not complying with the rules between £200 and £6,400.
Face coverings must be worn on trains, buses and tubes and in shops, banks and post offices - but hospitality venues remain excluded.

The news comes over fears of the new Omicron variant of Coronavirus, of which there are currently 11 confirmed cases in the country.
The Manchester Evening News understands that supermarket chain Morrisons will be handing out masks to any customers who have forgotten to bring theirs from tomorrow.
However shoppers who fail to wear a mask when offered will reportedly be refused entry into any of their stores 'in line with Government guidelines' unless exempt.
A spokesperson said: "We will be following all updated government guidelines to keep our customers and colleagues safe."
And visitors to the Trafford Centre will also be handed free masks, with teams on hand to 'educate' shoppers on the need to wear coverings.
It is understood that all shoppers must keep their masks on when walking anywhere within the Trafford Centre building, except for when entering individual restaurants or hospitality venues.

A spokesperson for the centre said: “In line with the latest government guidance, everyone must once again wear a face covering inside the centre, in stores and when walking throughout the malls unless they have an exemption.
“Teams will be issuing free masks where they are needed and educating shoppers whilst on the mall - encouraging everyone to wear a face covering unless exempt.
"Shops will be following government guidance and hospitality is currently exempt from these new regulations.
“Mandatory face coverings in the centre will be effective from Tuesday 30th November.”
Yet the Manchester Evening News understands it is only the police who can 'legally' enforce the guidance and issue fines.
It is that same government guidance that Iceland boss Richard Walker said its staff should not have to enforce.
He confirmed the supermarket chain's employees won't force shoppers to put on face masks when the new rules are introduced tomorrow morning.

On Twitter, the managing director said he was "supportive of the reintroduction of the 'masks in shops' rule" but that Iceland workers "can’t be expected to police those who refuse"
He added: "They've (the staff) have been heroic during the pandemic, encouraging customers to feel confident in store & helping the high st recovery."
He further told the Daily Mail : "We need to continue to encourage people to shop in stores if they feel comfortable, and I’m hopeful that the latest guidelines won’t discourage customers from doing so."
The Co-op chain added it is not its place to "enforce coverings or refuse to serve a customer who chooses not to wear one."
Other retailers are reportedly worried that their staff may face aggression if they ask customers to wear a mask.
Association of Convenience Stores chief executive James Lowman said retailers are "extremely concerned about abuse against their staff from customers who don't want to wear a face covering in a shop."
Supermarket chain Sainsbury's says it has not yet decided what its mask policy will be ahead of the law change tomorrow.
A spokesperson said: “We are reviewing the latest government guidance and will keep customers and colleagues updated."
Giles Hurley, Chief Executive Officer at Aldi UK added: “The safety of our colleagues and customers is our number one priority.
"Following the latest Government announcement, wearing a face covering will be mandatory for everyone that shops at Aldi from Tuesday 30 November, except for those who have a medical exemption.”
The British Retail Consortium said it is up to the police to enforce the measure and said: "Customers are asked to respect the rules and be considerate to their fellow shoppers and to hard-working shop staff."
Stagecoach bus and The Rail Delivery Group have this evening been asked about how they plan to tackle mask wearing by customers from tomorrow.
