This is how sequins have helped the expansion of Mansfield firm started by former Miss England judge

Sequin panels used transform Amanda Holden's Britain's Got Talent dressing room have not only added a sparkle to a Mansfield-based company's new showroom but have also contributed to its expansion.

SolaAir Sequin Walls UK, which was started by former Miss England judge and law graduate Datsa Gaile, has seen increased demand for its signature sequin panels.

The business has now expanded its office with the introduction of a new showroom.

Founded in January 2019 by 47-year-old Datsa, the firm offers a range of eye-catching sequin panels, available in more than 40 different colour options.

Datsa said: “We’re thrilled to unveil our brand-new showroom, where visitors can view our whole sequin panel range, as well as take inspiration from different sequin wall applications – from a stylish office space and lounge area, through to an eye-catching bar, or a stunning photo feature wall for the ultimate party selfie.

“We have come a long way since I launched the business last year, supplying glamorous parties, weddings and even home office renovations. What began as a hobby gradually turned into a profit-making business which has seen us transform the parties of Love Island stars, as well as Amanda Holden’s Britain’s Got Talent dressing room for the second year running.

“Our sequin panels are extremely versatile and can be used across the home, garden, events and even for business owners wanting to create an eye-catching feature to impress their customers. I’m excited to welcome visitors to the new showroom and help them add a little sparkle to their home, event or workplace!”

Datsa secured sole UK distribution rights with SolaAir in 2019 and the business has since grown exponentially in the UK and International events market.

In its first nine months, the company turned over £170,000, with sales growing to upwards of 5,000 panels per month. The business has also transformed parties of Made in Chelsea stars and clocked up more than 55,000 followers on its Instagram page.

Having launched a series of event decorating workshops in early 2020, SolaAir Sequin Walls UK says it has seen unprecedented demand for the product.

The business' brand-new showroom and teaching space has provided increase capacity for the socially-distanced workshops, which are already booked up through to November.

Starting from £9.60 per panel, the versatile sequin panels can be attached with screws for a permanent fixture, or alternatively, double-sided adhesive tape will allow a simple installation.
