This is how Nottingham Forest will be shown on TV this weekend despite coronavirus break

Nottingham Forest fans will be able to see their team in action this weekend despite the current coronavirus.

Well, maybe not the current crop of Reds stars, but the BBC are giving fans the chance to relive a classic encounter.

The FA Cup quarter-finals were set to be this weekend, but due to action up and down the country being suspended until at least April 30 due to the spread of coronavirus in the UK, that's no longer the case.

The BBC will be showing football, however, putting on some of the most memorable FA Cup quarter-final contests.

Guy Mowbray will present the first episode on Saturday at 4pm, and the second on Sunday.

Forest will feature on the first of the episodes with the Reds' trip to West Brom in 1978 being shown.

Brian Clough's men went on to finish second in the league that year, but they did lose this particular cup tie 2-0.

Nevertheless, with Forest not set to be in action again for more than a month, it will be a good opportunity to see the famous red shirt grace the TV screen.
