This is how long the wet weather is set to last in Edinburgh - and it's not good news

Edinburgh doesn't look set to see a return of the sunny weather this weekend, with clouds and rain expected over the coming days alongside some slightly nicer spells.

Showers are expected for the rest of the day on Wednesday 10 June, with especially heavy spells set between 8pm and 9pm. This is despite an earlier long range forecast that predicted high temperatures today.

The Met Office predict slightly better weather on Thursday, with some sunny spells with a max temperature of 14C.

Friday looks much the same, with a little less sun expected to break through the clouds.

Saturday will see showers throughout the day, but going into a Sunday you may be able to get your hopes up for a socially distanced BBQ.

Sun is expected is break through the clouds around 7pm, with temperatures of around 14C. Hardly the highs we had during the heatwave, but it might allow you to meet your friends or family for a bit at least.
