'This is getting ridiculous' - Liverpool fans worried about Mohamed Salah ahead of West Ham game

Liverpool fans are sitting a little uncomfortable following images of Mo Salah limping down the Anfield tunnel.

Jurgen Klopp's men were in Champions League action on Tuesday night, defeating Midtjylland 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Salah.

Salah's goal was a penalty three minutes into stoppage time and a penalty he won after being stood on inside the box, a challenge that left him in a little discomfort.

Of course, the Egyptian stepped up and scored the penalty, but after the game, he was spotted limping gingerly down the tunnel.

And that hs Liverpool fans concerned with injury concerns now mounting up.

Virgil van Dijk has been ruled out for the season, while Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have also suffered injuries.

Salah could add to that list if indeed he has picked up an injury, and Liverpool fans are already beginning to panic about that possibility.

Klopp's men have already struggled to reach their usual heights this season, despite sitting second, picking up 13 points from their first six games.

The Reds were favourites to retain the title heading into this season but injuries could see them become a little less fancied, especially if Salah misses time in the coming weeks, starting with Sunday's clash with West Ham.

Here's what Liverpool fans have been saying on social media about their latest possible setback ahead of that clash with the Hammers.

While there is no place to revel in a player's injury, if Liverpool are to be without Salah, it may provide the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham a boost to their title hopes if indeed they are to challenge.

All three teams finished head, shoulders and even torso behind Liverpool last season and despite recruiting well in the summer, they are likely to need a bit of luck to close that gap as quickly as this term.
