They have vowed to go above and beyond to bring him home safely as they frantically search for him.

Police in Glasgow have spoken to over 500 people after carrying out a stop and speak operation at three locations in an attempt to trace James.

Between 6pm and 9pm on Sunday, December 13, traffic patrols stopped drivers at Great Western Road near Manor Road and at Duntreath Avenue near to Sollas Place, Glasgow.

Other officers on foot patrol also spoke to members of the public on the canal banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal and in the Peterson Park area.

Police are now making further enquiries into the information gained.

James Coyle was last seen around 7pm on Sunday, 29 November, in Sollas Place.

He is described as 6ft 1in tall, slim with brown hair and a brown beard.

He is believed to have been wearing grey jogging bottoms, a black top and black socks.

He may be wearing navy Adidas trainers.

A family member said: "It's been two weeks today since James was last seen.

"This is breaking us in every way possible.

"We thank every single person who has helped and helping us continue to look for James and bring him home.

"James you have no idea how much we love you and far we have and will go to bring you back home."

Chief Inspector Natalie Carr said: "James was last seen over two weeks ago and as time passes his family are becoming extremely concerned as it is very unusual for them not to hear from him for so long.

“A number of searches are being carried out in the surrounding area where James lives and I would also appeal to people living locally to check their own gardens and sheds or outbuildings, in case he has sought shelter within.

“Anyone with information regarding James’s whereabouts should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 0055 of 2 December 2020.”
