Arsenal fans are happy with the team Mikel Arteta has named to start against Brighton and Hove Albion
The Gunners go into the game on the back of a much-needed 3-1 win over Chelsea on Boxing Day - only 48 hours ago - which ended a run of seven without a win in the Premier League.
However, victory wasn't enough to improve Arsenal's position in the table.
Arteta's side finished gameweek 15 in 15th place, but did move six points clear of the relegation zone and can create more distance between themselves and the bottom three by following up on their win against the Blues.
And in an attempt to get his side to record back-to-back Premier League wins for only the second time this season, Arteta has opted to resist making several changes to the side which started against Chelsea.
The one alteration he has made sees captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang recalled to the starting XI in place of Alexandre Lacazette who drops to the bench.
This means a second successive Premier League start for Emile Smith Rowe who was impressive three days ago.
Elsewhere, Bernd Leno returns to the Amex Stadium for the first time since suffering a season-ending injury in July, while Bukayo Saka, Kieran Tierney, and Gabriel Martinelli have the chance to impress again.
Arsenal XI: Leno; Bellerin, Holding, Mari, Tierney; Xhaka, Elneny, Saka, Smith Rowe, Martinelli; Aubameyang
Most of the reaction from Arsenal supporters on social media has centered around the inclusion of Aubameyang in the team alongside Martinelli, Saka, and Smith Rowe.
