The goalkeeper stood in for regular No.1 Alisson as Jurgen Klopp made significant changes to his line-up.
Adrian was one of the few senior players to start the game along with Adam Lallana, James Milner, Divock Origi and Joe Gomez.
And the Spaniard made some vital saves in the first half with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Mason Holgate all testing the keeper.

But as well as his contribution on the pitch, Adrian has given Liverpool fans a reason to smile off it.
The goalkeeper shared a heartwarming picture on Twitter of him lifting up his young son to touch the Liverpool badge in the tunnel.
He captioned the photo: "Dear son, THIS IS ANFIELD"
Adrian has proven himself a reliable deputy for Alisson this season, having to fill in when the Brazilian was injured at the start of the season and when he was suspended for the league game against Everton in December.
He's certainly already a fans favourite despite his short time in Merseyside.
