Beyonce’s team has denied claims the superstar refused to perform or attend Saturday night’s BRIT Awards after being denied a £500,000 fee.

Rumours have been circulating that the 41-year-old had not only requested the large fee, but that she also asked for several suites at a central London hotel and extra flights for her team.

A Beyonce fan account called yoncecapital took to Twitter to post a now-deleted tweet showing an article which shared the rumours.

In response, fans shared their disappointment.

“She could have gone there," one fan tweeted in response to the rumour, while another wrote: “Imagine if she attended the actual event."

However, her publicist Yvette Noel-Schure swiftly shut down the chatter.

“This is a lie. Please do not promote inaccuracies," she wrote.

Beyonce, who won big on the night and took home Best International Artist and International Song of the Year for Break My Soul, surprised London’s O2 Arena with a video message.

During her acceptance speech for International Song of the Year, Beyonce said: “Thank you, thank you so much for loving Break My Soul.

“The only intention for this song was to dance, so thank you for joining this dance of freedom and individuality.

“I hope you’re all having a beautiful night. Thank you and see you soon."

Speaking about her Best International Artist win, she said: “Thank you so much for this incredible recognition.

“I’d like to say thank you to all of my friends out there in Britain for your continuous support over the years."

She added: “The Renaissance begins. I’ll see y’all on tour. Thank you so much for this honour!"

The star recently made history at the 2023 Grammys, becoming the Recording Academy’s most-awarded artist of all time.
