This iconic Sunderland city centre property could be yours - for £1.5 million

Grade II listed Burdon House, a familiar sight to people who visit or work in Sunderland city centre, has come on the market. It was originally built in 1916 for the North Eastern railway company which was amalgamated with other companies to form the original London and North Eastern Railway in 1923.

The building was later owned by Railtrack who, according to the current landlords who have owned it for 30 years, used to operate railway signals from the building
