This Hotel Makes Visiting Napa Valley A Family Vacation

Kids will have just as much fun as adults. Carneros Resort & Spa

If you're a wine lover, visiting Napa Valley is a top destination. But, given the vacation is vino-focused, it's not really a place you'd think to bring the kids along. So, unfortunately, many people have to skip the trip for the sake of familial duties. That is until now. Ahead of the spring break season, Carneros Resort & Spa in Napa just launched a "Little Seedlings" program that allows children to play and learn. At the same time, adults can fully embrace the wine and amenities of the luxury resort.

While Napa is often thought of as an "adults-only" destination, Carneros welcomes families where kids can experience fun and meaningful activities. The offering is kicking off this month and running through the spring— is designed to inspire kids of all ages to get their hands dirty and connect with nature.

The littlest guests can try garden-side nature drawings and natural dye painting in partnership with the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art. The Little Green Thumb Tour also showcases the resort's new culinary gardens, feeding chickens at The Chick-Inn, and learning how to start your own culinary garden at home. Or, sign the kids up for Palate Play, where the youngest food enthusiasts immerse themselves in a culinary journey of food and drink tastings featuring snack favorites such as PB&J, animal crackers, and more.

These are meant to entertain youngsters for about four hours while adults take time for themselves by enjoying a relaxing spa day (massages, facials, and more are all possible) or going on a wine tasting tour. But, of course, you can also simply lounge by the adult pool that overlooks the stunning Napa vineyards knowing the kids have an equally fun experience. And the hotel offers complimentary wellness classes for both adults and kids if you need a little more zen time.

Then, when it's time to come together again, the hotel offers family activities. During the day, everyone can splash around without worrying about disturbing other guests in the dedicated family pool. You can also explore the resort grounds with the welcome scavenger hunt by solving clues and getting creative. Guests will be rewarded a prize following the scavenger hunt at The Market.

You can sign up for a Cozy Cottage Night in the evening, where the hotel will set up a good old-fashioned game night with classic board games and delicious food. The night is then topped off with a fireside s' mores kit in the individual cottage and backyard fire pit to settle in with an outdoor movie or stargazing.

Beyond the programming, the accommodations at Carneros are ideal for families too. They have spacious two-bedroom Residences or three-bedroom Homes that come complete with gourmet kitchens, living rooms, and private backyard gardens.

"Napa doesn't just have to be an adults-only experience," says Managing Director Edward Costa. "Modern families are seeking experiences that enrich the whole family in engaging, hands-on ways that also deliver opportunities to learn and grow – in this case, quite literally. The Little Seedlings program was designed to inspire our youngest guests with meaningful and educational experiences while allowing the adults to fully embrace the charm and amenities of our luxury resort."
