This Guy Just Bought 6 Barn Find Bikes, Sight Unseen, And They're Pretty Rare

If you're the kind of person whose life resembles the bumper sticker "My Other Car Is 10 Motorcycles That Don't Run," then you'll definitely appreciate fixer-upper YouTuber 2Vintage's latest auction haul. For those unfamiliar, the guy lives in Wisconsin, and he has a knack for finding some unbelievable machines up in his neck of the woods that he's then able to purchase for very little and usually get running again.

His channel is an exercise in what a thorough going-over of the basics can do. Each and every time, he methodically goes through whatever machine he's got in his workshop and hits all the basics. Fuel? Spark? Compression? Are the carbs dirty, if it's a carbureted thing? You get the idea. Sometimes it's motorcycles, sometimes it's scooters, sometimes it's side-by-sides, ATVs, or snowmobiles. You name it, 2Vintage will tackle it.

And sometimes, he does something that's a little bit extra, like purchasing a haul of five bikes, one snowmobile, and some vintage home furnishings (and old stained glass church windows) from an auction, sight unseen. That is, in fact, exactly what you're going to see if you watch this video.

What are the bikes (and snowmobile) he managed to scoop up? So glad you asked, because they're quite a random and interesting assortment of things. Let's start with the snowmobile, which is a fantastic shade of teal, and appears to be a Johnson Skee-Horse from the 1970s or so, last registered for use in Wisconsin in 1989, by the stickers. Have I mentioned lately that I love fun colors on powersports machines? Here's this week's reminder if I haven't.

Getting into the bikes, ooh boy, there are some gems here. There's a sweet little Honda CT70 that looks to be in pretty excellent shape, and kicks over nicely. There's also a little Honda 50, which is also in quite good cosmetic shape (mostly) for its age.

And then there are three other things which are a bit rarer. There's a 1940s Villier-engined motorcycle of some type; what appears to be an Allstate Vespa (sadly missing its engine, but the bodywork seems to mostly be intact, which is cool), and a little JC Penney Golden Pinto minibike.

Of course, 2V can't work on all 6 machines at once, so one of 'em has to go first after he brings them all back home. Which one will it be? The JC Penney, which is so tiny and light that he can pick it up and move it around with one arm.

The beginning of the video is all about the haul home from the auction, but the majority of it is spent going through the JC Penney Golden Pinto and checking it over to see what it needs. Amazingly, all it seems to have really needed was a good carb clean, and it's running pretty sweet and ripping all over the road and yard by the end of the video. If you have your own moto projects that aren't going super well right now and you need some vicarious joy, definitely give this a watch.
