This Georgia offensive lineman drew a penalty with an epic flop

Georgia offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson is listed at 340 pounds, and yet it seems a gust of wind knocked him clean off his feet. Or, he flopped.

During Georgia’s 24-17 win over the Florida Gators on Saturday, Wilson saw Gators defensive end Jabari Zuniga jump offsides, and so Wilson decided to make the most of the mistake. The right tackle, basically untouched by Zuniga, took a dramatic backward tumble that helped draw an encroachment penalty. It was a brilliant piece of theatrics by Wilson.

Wilson and the Bulldogs offensive line did well with Zuniga during the game. He had two tackles, including 1.5 for a loss, but didn’t log a sack or a quarterback hit.

Zuniga, a potential first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, made a few big plays, but Wilson’s good technique — especially while flopping — helped Georgia keep Zuniga away from quarterback Jake Fromm.
