Since 2023, Olive Garden’s viral kids’ menu hack has become a fan favorite among adults for its affordability and food abundance. Of course, anyone who has ordered it knows it doesn’t include many breadsticks. This fan favorite is soft, warm bread doused in salt and melts in your mouth. However, one woman shares how she tricked her Olive Garden’s to-go specialist to score her free extra breadsticks.
“Did you know that if you’re really lazy but craving pasta, you could order Olive Garden and get a kids’ meal for less than $10?” TikTok creator Sam (@shutupsam39) tells over 587,000 viewers while sitting in her living room.
One by one, she unveils each item she received from the kids’ meal.
“And you get a serving this big?” she says, pulling out a round plastic to-go container with Grilled Chicken Rotini inside.
Next, the content creator takes out another to-go container. “And a giant serving of broccoli on the side?” she adds.
Afterward, she reveals a container of spaghetti and a small drink. “You can add an entire side entree to take home? And you get a little Diet Coke,” the content creator says. But those aren’t the best parts.
“Then, if you say that your non-existent son really loves breadsticks, they’ll give you extra,” Sam says. To prove it, whips out two plain foil to-go bags that have the Olive Garden logo stamped on them.
Viewers laud the Olive Garden hack
“This feels illegal… I love it,” one viewer commented.
“Now this is being an influencer,” a second complimented.
“I love forbidden tiktok tech,” a third praised. “I WILL be adding this [straight] to my list thank you.”
Because companies notoriously crack down on hacks, such as Chipotle’s three-dollar burrito and Waffle House’s waffle sandwich, some joked that Olive Garden would find a way around this.
“Olive Garden bout to get rid of the kids menu now,” one commenter quipped.
Another jested, “Olive Garden is going to make you show proof of child at delivery.”
Can an adult order from Olive Garden’s kids’ menu?
Most restaurants typically bar adults from ordering from the kids’ menu because it’s considered a net loss. On the other hand, there are exceptions since it can vary by location. Nevertheless, this hack was and still is intended for takeout, curbside, or delivery orders since it will check your age or if you have a child.
Furthermore, you can receive all of the unlimited breadsticks your heart desires while dining in. If you’re uncomfortable about deceiving your to-go specialist, you can always buy a bundle of six for $4.99 and a dozen for $7.49, both baked and unbaked, online.
