This Edinburgh restaurant has been awarded the capital's most ordered dish in lockdown on Deliveroo

Today people across Scotland are celebrating, as thousands of Britain’s restaurants, pubs and hairdressers have been given the go-ahead to reopen after three long months of staying in, baking banana bread and giving each other questionable haircuts.

For Edinburgh, the end of lockdown is finally in sight, so Deliveroo has taken a look back over the past 12 weeks to see what dish our city's residents have been ordering the most whilst staying home in lockdown.

If you think the most ordered dish in the city is pizza, burgers or a classic chippy, I'm afraid you couldn't be more wrong.

The most ordered dish on Deliveroo in the whole of Edinburgh is Ting Thai Caravan's incredible Pad Thai.

The Teviot Place Thai eatery originally started as a street food stand in 2012 before its owners secured a small restaurant in the University quarter.

Their family of Thai chefs have been serving up their legendary dishes ever since - and they've opened up a second branch on Lothian Road.

Their winning Pad Thai is made up of flat noodles with either prawns, chicken, beef with peanuts, egg, nam pla, palm sugar, tamarind, chilli, bean sprouts and spring onion - and it only costs £6.80 for a mammoth portion.
