Last night, Edinburgh restaurant L'escargot blanc was crowned ‘Best Restaurant Experience at the Scottish Thistle Awards National Final held at Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
Located in the West End of the capital on Queensferry Streeet you'll find a bright, airy restaurant with a lively French atmosphere and hearty food in an unpretentious setting.
L'escargot blanc serves characteristically French food made with the finest Scottish, seasonal larder from top-quality local suppliers - with over 40 French wines served by the glass.
The 'Best Restaurant' category is designed to recognise and celebrate restaurants who not only offer a quality food and drink experience, but include and promote local Scottish produce on their menus.
Scotland's premiere tourism and hospitality awards, organised by VisitScotland and supported by a panel of industry representatives, commended the restaurant for its focus on home-grown produce and links to educational facilities.
Judges said that both customer experience and passion shone through in the restaurant's application.
L’escargot blanc’s chef patron Fred Berkmiller said: "Everything we do is centred around the customer experience from start to finish.
"The pride we take in sourcing the very best food with great provenance is equal to the pride we take in looking after our guests.”
