This day in OKC history: Kevin Durant drops 51 in 2OT win over Raptors

Six years ago today, Kevin Durant put together one of his best performances in an Oklahoma City Thunder uniform.

On March 21, 2014, Durant posted a 51-point, 12-rebound double-double to lead OKC to a 119-118 victory over the Toronto Raptors in double overtime.

Playing without Russell Westbrook, who left the game in the third quarter with a sprained right knee, Durant hit the game-winning triple from 31-feet with 1.7 seconds remaining in the second overtime to lift the Thunder to a one-point win.

Durant had also made a 3-pointer with 57 seconds left in regulation to give Oklahoma City a 96-93 lead before Amir Johnson sank a free throw and made a layup to tie the game.

His game-high 51 points came on 15-of-32 shooting from the floor, which including going 7-for-12 from beyond the 3-point line.

He added 14 points from the free-throw line.

Durant would go on to lead the NBA in scoring that season at 32 points per game en route to winning league MVP.
