This Craigellachie pop-up is giving rare 51-year-old whisky away for free

Whisky fans listen up: in November Craigellachie is bringing out its oldest whisky yet — completely free of charge.

The 51-year-old single malt Scotch will be available at Bar 51, an inception-like “bar within a bar” pop-up at Milroy’s in Soho.

Whiskies of a similar age typically sell for thousands of pounds, but Craigellachie will be giving guests the chance to try its dram without spending a penny.

There will be 150 seatings available at the pop-up bar over the course of three nights from November 26, with spaces allocated through a lottery system.

Scotch enthusiasts will simply need to register here from 9am on Monday October 29 for a chance to bag a spot.

Entries will close at midnight on November 15 and the lucky winners will be chosen at random to attend if you miss out, don't worry – there's now a London vending machine serving whisky.

Sounds pretty neat to us.
