This charming ALDI trellis is ideal for climbing plants in tiny urban spaces – it will transform urban balconies and courtyards into lush, verdant havens

ALDI trellis.

For those of us with tiny footprints of outside space or narrow city balconies, it's not always easy to grow a lot of plants, or create that often-craved sense of seclusion within nature. All you need, however, it the right kit and ALDI's middle aisle has once again served one of the best garden finds of 2025: a stunning trellis for climbing plants that is perfect for small spaces.

ALDI's Belavi Square Bird Trellis is a great solution for creating a vertical garden whilst saving floor space for a cozy dining set or even more pot plants. At only 12 inches wide, it's the perfect support for climbing plants in pots.

What's more, this trellis is a snip at $8.99, making it possible to create an abundant display of vines inexpensively. The elegant and subtle bird details complement soft planting and a cottage-garden style, while at the same time the black color makes it more modern and well suited to an urban garden space.

There are so many uses for a trellis in a tiny space, whether you want to showcase one of the best climbing roses, train fragrant vines like wisteria, or even grow cucumbers vertically.

The best thing about ALDI's trellis is it only measures 12x28.6 inches, so you can use it for a climbing plant support in a container garden, and it's small enough for use on balcony gardens, offering a space-saving solution through vertical growing.

For a creative option, try positioning two or three of these trellises together to create a screen for some fast garden privacy.

Of course, whenever using a trellis there is some kit you need to use for successful growing.

For example, you'll need essential pruning tools (like these pruning shears from Amazon) to keep your climbers neat and maintained. Just remember to research the care requirements of the plants you're growing on the trellis, to avoid making pruning mistakes.

You may also need some plant ties (from Amazon) to train your plants up the trellis Don't tie them too tight, however, as it can cut into and damage stems.

As for keeping the ALDI trellis in good shape, the product description states it's rust-resistant, making it a durable feature for your yard that will last for years.
