Nevis Nice! Nevis is the smaller and quieter island of the two-island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis. Both islands opened for quarantine-free travel on December 11, 2021. Check out Nevis’s new Nevis Nice video to show you how this laidback island is ideal for your next vacation.

Birthplace of Alexander Hamilton
Founding father of the United States Alexander Hamilton was born on the island of Nevis (feel free to put on the soundtrack of Lin Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton while you plan your vacation there).
The lush mountainous island is in the Lesser Antilles, south of Anguilla and west of Antigua. There’s more transportation options now than in Alexander Hamilton’s days: Nevis has a small airport for regional flights (from Puerto Rico or St. Kitts, for example) or you can fly from further destinations to St. Kitts’ international airport and then arrive in Nevis by ferry, water taxi, or private transfer. Of course, arriving by yacht is always an ideal option too.
Nevis Naturally

Eco-tourism and exploring the island’s natural treasures are a key part of experiencing Nevis — the tourism board’s Instagram and Twitter handles are both @NevisNaturally (naturally!). Though you’ll be tempted to spend your entire vacation on the beach at your resort — the Four Seasons Resort Nevis, on Pinneys Beach, is particularly lovely — Nevis has plenty of activities and sites to explore.

For example, you could hike through the forests, golf, go sailing, scuba diving or kayaking. New in 2021 is Nevis’ Around the Garden Tour where you can learn about — and sample — fruits like mangoes, passionfruit, star fruit and pineapple. Take advantage of Nevis’ volcanic origins with a soak in the hot springs at Bath Village or climb its volcano, Nevis Peak. Or you could volunteer with Nevis Turtle Group to help protect Nevis’ sea turtles. There’s plenty of festivals too, such as the Nevis Mango Festival in July — it celebrates the island’s 44 varieties of mango.
Regardless of what you choose, Nevis is ideal for a relaxing vacation when you want to enjoy the outdoor natural environment.
St. Kitts and Nevis entry requirements

Current entry requirements are outlined on Nevis’ Travel Requirements website, as well as on the website for St. Kitts. As of December 11, 2021, the quarantine-upon-entry requirement for fully vaccinated international travelers was eliminated.
For now, only fully vaccinated international travelers are permitted to vacation in St. Kitts and Nevis and they need an RT-PCR test taken 72 hours prior to arrival. Travelers also need to provide information in advance for approval via the KNATravelForm.kn.
