An Edinburgh backpackers hostel have turned their outdoor car park into a brand new beer garden for locals and visitors to the city alike.
Kick Ass Hostels, which has operated in the capital for the past 15 years has had rethink everything from their dorms to reception space since the coronavirus pandemic hit.
Fortunately the business has managed to receive approval for a three month occasional licence from the City of Edinbutgh Council to turn their car park into an outdoor seating area and beer garden.
Kick Ass Hostels told Edinburgh Live : "We worked with local spray paint artist Shona Hardie to make a funky design in the beer garden and locals in the Grassmarket area have been pleased to see that Candlemaker Row has had a bit of a makeover.
"Our target audience is usually backpackers from all over the world but since opening the beer garden we are looking for ways to let the locals know it is open to the public and we want to share how amazing our wee spot is!"
Kick Ass Hostels' new garden at their Greyfriars branch is open for breakfast and coffee from 8:00 am and their bar is selling drink from 11.30am, with food on offer all day long, closing at 10pm.
And from pictures of the new space, it's safe to say that the venue might have one of the best views of the castle in Edinburgh.
