The company has launched an integrated lock screen version of Glance AI, an AI commerce platform designed specifically for Samsung users in the US.
The platform allows users to see how they might look in different outfits by taking a single selfie or any image from their phone. The company uses Google’s Gemini and Imagen technologies to generate stylized images that users can shop from instantly. The feature is fully opt-in and aims to streamline content discovery and commerce without requiring users to unlock their phones.
Samsung Galaxy users in the US will get the first access to the lock screen version of Glance AI. It will allow users to browse AI-curated looks, make purchases with a tap, and save or share visuals of these outfits directly from the lock screen.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that Glance AI isn’t the only player introducing AI in the shopping space. The mighty Google recently introduced its own generative AI-powered virtual try-on experience, which will allow users to visualize clothing on themselves using personal images.
