This adorable southside pooch will be representing Dublin at Nose of Tralee 2019

This adorable southside pooch will be representing Dublin at this year’s Nose of Tralee.

10-month-old Teddy is pawsitively excited to make his mark on the pet version of the Rose of Tralee competition.

The little doggie lives in Ballybrack with owner Sally Redmond.

Sally said: “Teddy has been a lovable addition to the family but he is still a bit ruff around the edges.

“Teddy has really lifted my spirits over the last few months since he has joined my family.”

Sally, who suffers from chronic pain, said that having little Teddy in her life has helped her physical and mental health greatly.

She added: “I have met lots of new people and have really enjoyed teaching him new tricks like jumping through hoops and ringing a bell to go to the toilet.

“It has given me a new lease of life and I am really enjoying spending time with him.”

Teddy hopes to join Peata when he’s older so he can visit people in caring units to make them smile.

The competition will see public vote determine which pet will be crowned the Nose of Tralee on August 27.
