KFC lovers have been sent into a hungry frenzy after the fried chicken chain announced a new deal.
The fast food favourite is offering 80 pieces of popcorn chicken for just £5.99, which works out as less than 8p per piece.
The promotion was revealed last night on discount site hotukdeals.com, sending mouths watering across the country.
However, swathes of bucket-craving Brits will be dismayed to learn that the offer only applies to select branches in Scotland – it has been rolled out exclusively across ten stores in Glasgow.
While loyalists in the rest of the UK will curse their luck, customers in the prized area have been quick to share their triumph, with one sharing a photo of their bold attempt to demolish all 80 pieces at once.
“I ate loads! Had to change hands, Still got 25+ left! And this was full to the top! and I can’t eat any more!” they posted on hotdeals.uk.
Another boasted of managing to one-up the original deal: “Was even better for me... used my £5 voucher to make it 99p!” he wrote.
But another graciously spared a thought for the KFC workers having to dish out the special meal: “I wouldn’t want to be the person having to count 80 popcorn chicken out,” they wrote.
It is not yet known whether the deal will later extend to other parts of the country.
