While all of us under-40s wait patiently to get a single jab, one guy has managed to go and get four. Yep, that’s two AstraZeneca and two Pfizer jabs right into the system. Collecting antibodies like Pokemon cards.
We have some questions here. Namely: why? And secondly: how did this one man manage to do this, when he is not in the over-40 bracket?
Honestly, I have yearned so long for the vaccine that I’ve been starting to have violent dreams about it. Every morning I wake up thinking I’ve been jabbed when really it was a Dorito crumb intertwined in my sheets.
So when 34-year-old Sydneysider Tom Lee tweeted about receiving his fourth jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, I was shooketh. Shaken. Shattered. Managing to snag two these days is tough enough, let alone a heaping FOUR.
Lee shared his story on his Twitter yesterday night, and I sobbed while looking at it. Here, you can sob too!

Naturally, many people had questions about this four-jab stunt, the main one being “how the fuck did you pull this off and can I pull it off too?” (Note: we do not – I repeat, not – condone getting four, when heaps of people can’t even get one and two will do the job just fine.)
One Twitter user asked if it’s okay to just turn up for a jab and get one, and this was Lee’s response:
“Try just turning up. I think towards the end of the day might have more luck.”

In another tweet, Lee confirmed where exactly he was able to receive both of the jabs, saying that he received the Pfizer poke at Olympic Park, and simply went to his local GP for the AstraZeneca shot.
hi Ryan, yes I went to the one at Olympic Park for pfizer and my GP for astra

And yes, receiving four jabs does mean you get two certificates.
I've got two, one for both vaccines

Lee also created his own little ad about the vaccines which showcases himself getting jabbed a heap of times.
Keep in mind the following tweet was created when he only had three of the mighty jabs within his system, two AstraZeneca and one Pfizer.
Please sir, spare but a crumb of vax.

And apparently mixing these doses is actually pretty fkn brilliant for your antibody levels.
Melbourne Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) Dr Michelle Ananda-Rajah says that an AZ/Pfizer mix actually has “10 times the antibody level” of an AZ/AZ blend.
Mix n match (=mixed dose schedules) blow the roof off antibody levels. AZ/Pfizer v AZ/AZ has 10 times the antibody level. Supply is the constraint I think. Do not wait for something else, take the 2nd AZ dose to realize full benefits of vaccination. https://t.co/5DqQjgT8VX https://t.co/P6HFDnIyDM

Naturally, Lee is using this opportunity to make jokes about how his antibody level is over 9000. Uh-huh, okay.

Kind of ridiculous that one man is out here gaming the system when there’s a seriously vaccine supply issue right now. Here’s a thought: stay home and wait your turn — don’t you know it’s not a race?
