This 3,000-piece Harry Potter jigsaw puzzle is the perfect lockdown distraction

If you’ve already re-watched all eight Harry Potter movies and read all seven books during lockdown (kudos if you’ve managed the latter in six weeks), then this 3,000-piece puzzle is sure to keep you occupied.

When finished, the puzzle creates an image of Hogwarts, but the frustratingly similar-looking pieces mean it could be quite hard and time-consuming to put together.

The puzzle retails for $29.99 (£24) from Entertainment Earth but is currently only available for pre-order which means it wouldn’t arrive until June at the earliest. If you want it sooner, it's also available on Ebay for £32.

This puzzle is only a fraction of the size of Kodak’s, which is said to be the world’s largest jigsaw .

The photo company’s puzzle clocks in at a whopping 51,300 pieces, weighs 18.5 kilograms and will cover a 16.47 square metre area once complete - and it doesn’t come cheap, retailing at $500 (£400).

The Kodak puzzle is made up of 27 individual puzzles that need to be figured out separately and then worked together, each puzzle shows one of the ‘wonders of the world’ - from the Eiffel Tower to London’s Tower Bridge and the Chureito Pagoda in Japan.
