Aster to launch new hospital in thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Aster DM Healthcare has announced its foraying into the state capital’s healthcare system through a 550-bed hospital at Akkulam.

The seventh hospital under the group in the state, Aster Capital, is expected to be commissioned by December 2024.

Dr Azad Moopen, chairman and managing director of Aster Dm Healthcare, said the group has also decided to begin labs and pharmacies in the district.

“In the next one year, we intend to open at least 25 such labs and pharmacies in the district. In addition to this, the group is also planning to launch homecare facilities for the critically-ill patients here,” he said.

A total investment of Rs 500 crore is estimated for the entire project.
