Thirteen-time All-Ireland winner Una O'Connor passes away aged 83

Camogie legend Una O'Connor has passed away at the age of 83-years-old.

The Dublin forward was one of the greats of the game, winning thirteen All-Ireland titles in a stellar career.

O'Connor passed away peacefully on Sunday morning surrounded by family and friends, and her funeral will take place at St. Vincents de Paul Church in Marino on Saturday morning.

Born in 1938, the Fairview native also led the famed Celtic club to ten Dublin county titles, and made an impact at inter-county level from the age of fifteen - scoring three goals in the 1953 All-Ireland final.

Her All-Ireland medal haul was second only to her late Dublin team-mate Kathleen Mills, who won fifteen All-Ireland medals.

O'Connor was also honoured by the GAA in centenary celebrations, and was named in the camogie team of the century in 2004 at wing-forward.
