Thirsty TDs and Senators splashed out €300,000 at the Dail bar this year, with Guinness the most popular pint.
The next most consumed beer was Heineken, with 2,028 pints guzzled, followed by Carlsberg with 566 glasses knocked back.
A total of €54,776 worth of draft beer was sold during the year, figures obtained under the Freedom of Information Act state.
Punters were charged €4.80 for pints of plain and Smithwicks, with pints of lager all €5.20.
A total bill of €302,533.90 – as outlined in a product sales report from January 1 to November 30 – was notched up by leaders.
Bottled beer proved less popular with just €8,935 worth of products sold.
Non-alchoholic Erdinger was the most popular choice, with 321 bottles consumed.
